Hey, welcome to our weekly podcast of Business, Money, and Christianity. We're a financial podcast from a faith perspective. We thank you for taking the time to join us in this.
Today I'm going to be presenting to you a segment from a recent public setting where I shared some ideas based on the Bible and living in the provision that God has provided for us. It's titled Entering God's System of Provision. God has provided us everything we need for life and we need to learn how to make it applicable to our lives.
So we thank you again for stopping by this week. Let me encourage you to again make a comment or click like, do something to help the algorithms get set. But I hope you gain something out of this live session that has been edited just for you.
So welcome again to Business, Money, and Christianity, a financial podcast from a faith perspective. And I know this will help you if you'll glean from it. Bless you and we'll see you soon.
Well, I started on Wednesday. I said that this month is going to be a month when I’m going to talk about economic issues in God’s system. And my approach to this is not really about how to get rich—rather, my focus is on how to have more than enough.
But even beyond that, my real focus is on how to manifest God. And so the title of what I’m preaching on this month is Manifestation of Divine Provision. Then next month, I’m going to talk about Manifestation of Divine Health.
What I’m really talking about is revealing God. I made a statement a few minutes ago that I’m truly focused on being rapture-ready. And in my mind’s eye, and in my heart—having my heart set on this—I believe that in pursuing the manifestation of God, you will become rapture-ready.
Because God does not manifest where you show up a lot. And it is exactly where we show up that God withdraws from. As the Bible says, “No flesh shall glory in His presence.”
So you can’t just take one part of this truth. When it comes to having more than enough, a large percentage of Americans live on just enough—they live paycheck to paycheck—and they never experience more than enough.
And we began this on Wednesday. If you weren’t here, I would encourage you to go back and listen to it. And even if you were here, I would still encourage you to go back and listen again.
The basic point was this: you have to believe that you believe that you believe that God wants you to have more than enough.
Now, we also talked about how “more than enough” looks different for everyone. Because some people only want to do a little. But having more than enough while doing a little is not the same as having more than enough while doing a lot.
You and I determine the flow that God will move through us.
Now, God has a system, and the world has a system. You need to understand that having more than enough can be achieved the world’s way. There are many people who live in abundance—they have good jobs, they manage their money well, they invest—and they never acknowledge God at all.
So I’m not saying that outside of God you will live in poverty. No—especially in America, you can control how much you have. You can always make more money. You’ll get taxed on it, but you can always make more.
But God has a system. And His system is a system of more than enough—a system that reveals who He is.
On Wednesday, I talked about some of the elements of what we know God has, what heaven looks like, and how much of that can be accessed by doing things God’s way.
Now, it’s not difficult to learn scriptures about God’s system and His promises. That part is not hard at all. What is hard is actually doing it—because it contradicts everything we’ve been taught by the world.
There is a system of money, a system of possessions, that is culturally natural. In fact, I believe that many Christians who live in third-world conditions submit more to those conditions than they do to God.
Now, that may seem like an unfair statement, because I live in America, where there is plenty of capital and opportunity. But I still believe that no one can live anywhere that exempts them from God’s “more than enough.” No matter how poor or how difficult the situation is.
I mentioned on Wednesday the example of Isaac, who sowed during a famine. The famine—the economic conditions of the world—had no effect on his obedience to God.
So I don’t believe anyone can be in a situation where their environment or circumstances have more authority than what God has said.
The real issue is us—we struggle to wrap our minds around it.
It’s similar to health—and I’ll talk more about that next month—but it’s like being in pain. When you’re hurting, it’s very hard to exercise faith in God’s Word. Not impossible—but difficult.
And if you’re living a life where you’re just getting by, or you can’t seem to reach where you want to go, it’s not that it’s impossible—it’s that it’s hard to even visualize it.
So on Wednesday, I really emphasized this: you have to know—deeply—that what God has said is true, and that He wants it for you.
So my goal is not prosperity. In fact, when I pray for multiplication and abundance in people’s lives, it is for those who follow the system. Because why would you pray for someone to have more than enough if they’re only going to increase their own consumption?
Now, God does want us to live in more than enough.
Let me ask you—do you understand that “more than enough” means beyond where you are right now?
God has no problem increasing where you are. And He has no problem giving more than enough on top of that increase.
As I said on Wednesday, the foundation is this: “I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread.” There is a safety net for all of us.
But we determine how far beyond that we want to go.
God loves faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him. He is not against you having a better car, a better house, a better living condition, or enough money to enjoy life.
He can provide more than enough for all of that.
But He wants to be first.
And most people put their budget first and then try to add God afterward. Most people won’t participate in His system unless they see a direct benefit.
But if we can shift our thinking—if we can understand that God has designed a system where we can live at any level we desire while also expanding His kingdom—then something changes.
Because as we increase His kingdom, our needs increase. And as our needs increase, our level of living increases.
So my goal is not prosperity—it is to reveal God’s abundance. I want people to have more than enough.
Yes, we can choose how we live and what our lives look like—but if the goal stops at “I want more money,” then we’ve already missed it.
The real question is: what do I need in order to reveal God?
Can you ever have enough to fully reveal Him? No—because He is limitless.
Even Ephesians 3:20 says that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. So even at the highest level we can imagine, we still fall short of His fullness.
God wants us to bring Him to the world.
In Acts chapter 1, verse 8, it says: “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you shall be witnesses unto Me.”
Most people think of “witness” as something verbal—and it is—but what is a stronger witness: what you say, or what you live?
When Jesus revealed Himself after His resurrection, He did so through undeniable demonstrations.
So being a witness includes living in a way that reveals God at your level.
In the context of “more than enough,” your abundance should reveal Him.
So how far should you go? Without faith, it is impossible to please Him. If your goal is to reveal Him, then your pursuit must be alignment with Him.
Now, what happens if someone lives only for themselves?
When you meet a person like that, what do you hear? What do you see? Everything revolves around them.
And yes, that exists in the church as well. God tells people to do something, and they refuse because it’s uncomfortable.
Who’s guilty?
So how does God respond to that? Do we really think He says, “Come in, enjoy everything, even though you ignored Me”?
No—the Bible says we will be judged by what we do, not just what we say.
So one aspect of revealing God is showing His abundance.
And if people don’t care about where they’re going, they won’t handle their resources properly. Many who live paycheck to paycheck do so because they are focused only on immediate desires.
Matthew 13:9 says, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
That’s the real issue—can you truly hear what God is saying?
The disciples asked Jesus why He spoke in parables instead of speaking plainly.
And He answered that it was given to them to know the mysteries of the kingdom, but not to others.
God’s system is for His children.
If someone struggles to understand Him, it may be necessary to examine whether their heart is truly aligned with Him.
I’ve seen people who can quote scripture, but have no understanding of what it means.
“He who has ears to hear, let him hear”—not just the words, but the truth behind them.
